I was a casual trader for many years. Checked in on my port maybe a few times a month. Hardly ever played Star Bonds. Started playing more seriously two or three years ago. Only recently started following the forums. My favorite thing about playing the game is holding stocks long until release - picking which projects are likely to get made or are undervalued, and shorting the projects that are likely to never get made or be barely released. It may not be the most lucrative strategy, the way the game is set up these days, but it's what I find the most fun. I don't day trade much, and I don't reset trade. Kudos to those who can do it and make money at it, but I wouldn't get the same satisfaction out of it.
