The Blockbuster Warrants allow traders an opportunity to invest in the long-term financial success of the biggest and best studio offerings for the upcoming holiday season. Blockbuster Warrants are similar to Call Options. The strike price is the estimated total domestic box-office take through Labor Day Weekend 2002.
If the particular film makes the strike price by September 2, 2002, the warrant will cash out at the difference between the actual box office and the strike price. If the film does not hit the strike price, then the warrant will cash out at zero.
Example: The Spider-Man Blockbuster Warrant has a H$275 strike price. If Spider-Man. makes $300 million domestically, then the Spider-Man Blockbuster Warrant will cash out at H$25 per share. (Box Office - Strike Price [$300-$275]). If Spider-Man makes less than $275 million, then the warrant will cash out at H$0.
Blockbuster Warrants will cash out on September 3, 2002.
