The Montral-born director of Art of War, Christian Duguay, began his career as a cameraman and director of photography. He polished his skills directing French TV series William Tell and The Hitchhiker before turning to action fares such as The Assignment and Screamers.
In 1996, Duguay won the Canadian equivalent of Emmy for his directorial work on the miniseries Million Dollar Babies, a Canadian-American co-production that aired on CBS about the Dionne quintuplets and starred Beau Bridges and Kate Nelligan. He followed that in 1999 with the equally acclaimed Joan of Arc miniseries starring Leelee Sobieski which garnered him both an Emmy and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Director.
Duguay is currently one of the directors up for the helm of Terminator 3.
