Holiday Warrants allow traders an opportunity to invest in the long-term financial success of the biggest and best studio offerings for the upcoming holiday season. Holiday Warrants are similar to Call Options. The strike price is the estimated total domestic box-office take by President's Weekend 2004.
If the particular film makes the strike price by Feb. 16, 2004, the warrant will cash out at the difference between the actual box office and the strike price. If the film does not hit the strike price, then the warrant will cash out at zero.
Example: The Matrix Revolutions Holiday Warrant has a H$250 strike price. If The Matrix Revolutions makes $270 million domestically, then the warrant will cash out at H$20 per share. (Box Office - Strike Price [$270-$250]). If The Matrix Revolutions makes less than $250 million, then the warrant will cash out at H$0.
Holiday Warrants will cash out on Feb. 17, 2004.
