Description
Road to Perdition is a screen adaptation of D.C. Comics' serialized mystery novel about Al Capone's lead hit-man in Depression-era Chicago. The story revolves around a 1930's hitman Michael O'Sullivan, who is the fact that he is torn between family and business ties. But when his wife and son are murdered, he seeks revenge on those who who did him wrong.
Tom Hanks heads a strong cast that includes Paul Newman, Jude Law, Liam Aiken, and Stanley Tucci.Sam Mendes (American Beauty) directs from the adpated screenplay of David Self (The Haunting, Thirteen Days). The original idea for The Road to Perdition comes from the pulp fiction-style comic book by Max Allan Collins.
