Based upon a novel by Anne Rice, Queen of the Damned chronicles the awakening of Akasha, a 6,000-year-old vampire who plans to wreak havoc on her descendants. Akasha kills many of the young males, and kidnaps a vampire-turned-rock-star named Lestat. With his help, Akasha plans to rule the world.
Queen of the Damned is being produced by David Geffen with Michael Rymer directing. Aaliyah stars as the title character while Stuart Townsend plays Lestat.
