As far as leagues go, there's no sure fire way to know which ones are active socially but there is one series that is great for people of all port sizes. Search "port" in the league page and look for the $10M-$30M port league. While that league is actually not too active post-wise, several of the future leagues may be. The league admin runs leagues for all port sizes and the port size specifiactions ensure that, at the very least, you will have like-sized ports to compete against.My YTD port is in the 10-30 league this month and I'll answer any questions I can for you bud.
As your port size gets higher, I think opportunities for other leagues will present themselves. There are many leagues geared toward specific port sizes. The problem is that many people randomly start those and then abandon them but they'll still be on the list. As your port grows though, you'll start to thin out the dead leagues since the players will have more time invested and therefor keep them going. You should be able to find decent $25M, $50M, $100M leagues and certainly decent ones at $250 and beyond.
