I saw this movie yesterday, and it was much better than I could have imagined. I forgot it was David Fincher directing, but it became abund-
antly clear as the movie unspooled... Fantastic photography. Truly deft directing.
A high quality Fincher movie, and more mature than lots of his early material (like Fight Club).
However, I don't see how anyone would expect this to be a blockbuster...
It's doing fairly alright in Scandinavia, it seems - so people want to see the story told again, and it gets good word of mouth. (Not all did see the original trilogy, either.)
I hope the two follow-ups get green-lighted.
