Description
Funnyman Jon Stewart began his comedy career doing standup in New York, and got his first television stint hosting Comedy Central's now defunct Short Attention Span Theater. Born in 1962 in Trenton, New Jersey, Stewart attended the College of William and Mary, where he graduated with a major in Psychology. Stewart’s breakthrough came in 1993, when he hosted the short-lived The Jon Stewart Show on MTV. His film credits include Committed, Big Daddy, Playing by Heart and The Faculty.
In 1999, Stewart returned to Comedy Central to host The Daily Show after Craig Kilborn’s departure.His witty style and sharp, comic touch has made The Daily Show one of the best programs on television and a dynamic vehicle in which to showcase Stewart's immense talents.
