...and I believe you. Saw the first tv episodes of the Alec Guiness version when it was aired with a lot of hoopla and hurray.... They were sooooo booooriiiiiing.
Alec Guinnes, whom I value highly as an actor - River Kwai ! the old Ealing films and even some stage plays I saw him in, in London - was wasted in this tv series.
I really think I don't even want to see this on dvd/bluray. Le Carre is allways slooooooow in films
