I honestly look forward to this film greatly. I saw a bootleg of the original back in high school thanks to my largely Korean-American classmates. It was awesome and awe inspiring, but I don't see why you couldn't do another version. There is a lot to localize and possibly even improve upon, narratively.

 

Yes, the film's gestalt is stunning, but some of the pieces don't hold up on repeat viewings.
