We'll see when and if those recent bible movies, save Noah, get around to Norwegian cinemas.
(It's a small market and barely significant, perhaps - even though some distributors do seem to spend some fortunes on marketing here, and we get "new" ventures like NetFlix TV earlier than most other countries - but the cultural differences are interesting. Norway is not "Godless", and parts of the country are cultural cousins of the US midwest. I guess people go less to the movies for anything but blockbusters and rather wait for the DVD, to watch at home, or torrent stuff. (Morality is in the basement, with a vast majority of youth and young adults downloading almost every single movie they watch, illegally from torrents - or whatever they use, cause I don't. I am one of the very few exceptions.) Both Norway and Sweden have "Pirate Parties", btw - political parties competing to get into Parliament, with legalicing piracy their no 1 causes.))
