Please don't correct my arguments - you've fabricated enough about what they mean.

Posted by: RogerMore on Feb 06, 14:52 in response to Bleachigo's post Here is your correction "Is exactly what it sounds...

The number of movies isn't measurable by you or I, but it is measurable by the studios that make them. Let them decide based on commercial reasons, but the decision should be made on a better understanding of the potential audience.

Looking at LNYON comparisons... her 12SLV co-star MFASS has been in five movies since then (let's say four - he already had X-Men commitments) with probably another two (plus X-Men) on the way this year and another two scheduled next year. He got to work with Danny Boyle and Terrence Malick. The movie's lead CEJIO has had four movies since and two more in 2016. He got to work with Ridley Scott and on a Marvel movie. JLETO who won Best Supporting Actor the same year LNYON won her award hasn't had a film since, but he has music commitments and hadn't acted on film in the previous five years - but he has one movie coming out, and it's a great opportunity with franchise potential. So I'd say the "right" number of opportunities is between one and six, with at least one really good one (great/franchise role or working with a great director).

And again, I'm not blaming anyone, I'm just explaining how the system works as I see it without judgment - only assessment. I've answered every one of your questions, so I'm not sure which ones I've been "dodging", and my arguments are grounded in freedom of choice, not saying it's wrong. Please stop making up stuff about what I think.

Funny how you interpret pointing out the hypocrisy in his statements for being “defensive” Bleachigo Feb 05, 14:25

It's not hypocrisy. How has a minority hurt you? Pretending we're all equal doesn't wipe out the fact there is a lack of equality right Antibody Feb 05, 14:35

Relatively few opportunities for minorities means they are effectively handicapped. Cookie-cutter Oscar bait movies are graded on a curve RogerMore Feb 05, 19:56

"relatively few opportunities" means that the solution is "create more opportunities", not eliminate minorities. {nm} RogerMore Feb 05, 21:45

Your argument is in quicksand...so we just need to create more opportunities? So then let's nominate everyone, but.. Bleachigo Feb 06, 07:35

I am trying to understand your opinion (That is why I am still here) but every response just plays back to exclusion Bleachigo Feb 06, 18:05

My perspective is about inclusion, not exclusion. RogerMore Feb 07, 07:39

Your argument is full of good intentions, but clearly flawed by design. You have to stifle the majority for inclusion = exclusion Bleachigo Feb 07, 10:30

No one should be forced to choose based on race. Choosing the right actor should be based on opinion not racial bias... Bleachigo Feb 06, 16:33

Sorry, I misunderstood you previous answer. So what would you do if you thought someone biased made biased decisions over and over again? {nm} JDolphin Feb 06, 18:26
