I caught Patriot's Day yesterday at Arclight Hollywood, and it's a riveting thriller that absolutely floored me. A powerful, moving film.
A couple things about going to The Arclight during my week off. I'd been looking forward to this for weeks.
The presentation of the film was so far beyond the typical movie theater screening. The sound was incredible. The picture was perfect. After dozens of screenings in this theater, I still haven't had a mediocre seat in any of their auditoriums. This is obviously the best place to see movies in Southern California, and I can't imagine a superior theater anywhere frankly.
The other fun thing was seeing Joaquin Phoenix, who was leaving the theater at the same time. Cool brush with celebrity.
