Description
During the summer of 1977, famed opera singer Maria Callas came to painful terms with her fading voice and twilight years. She gives up everything to pursue her passion and is subsequently rejected by her fiance', Aristotle Onassis, when he falls in love with Jacqueline Kennedy. Franco Zeffirelli is attached to direct the film starring Fanny Ardant, Jeremy Irons and Joan Plowright. In 1995, Tony award-winning Terrence McNally payed honor to Callas in his play Master Class, a story inspired by a series of master classes Callas taught at Juilliard.
