Description
Garry Kent Marshall is a legendary figure in the world of television. He was the creative force behind a variety of classic, television series like Happy Days, Mork and Mindy, The Odd Couple and Laverne and Shirley. But even with his many TV achievments, Marshall has also formed a successful career as a motion picture director. Past productions for Marshall include the touching, Tom Hanks-Jackie Gleason drama Nothing in Common and the Matt Dillon comedy/drama The Flamingo Kid.
Other projects include Beaches and Frankie and Johnny, but it's the 1990, Richard Gere-Julia Roberts romantic comedy Pretty Woman that represents Marshall's biggest success on the silver screen. He teamed with Roberts and Gere once more in 1999 for another romantic comedy called Runaway Bride. Forthcoming for Marshall is a project known as The Princess Diaries, a comedy about a young, city girl who finds out that she is the princess of a small country in Europe.
