The self-proclaimed "King of All Media," Howard Stern branched out from radio to film in 1997, with his autobiographical Private Parts. The film grossed over $41 million at the box office, and received the highest test-screening rating in the history of Paramount Studios. The quintessential "shock jock," Stern had deejayed in Hartford, Detroit and Washington, D.C. before finally settling in New York City. His radio show is the highest-rated syndicated show in the nation, which helps explain why his autobiography -- also titled "Private Parts" -- sold one million copies in its first two weeks of release.
