Mark Wahlberg stars in director Tim Burton's updated reimagining of the film Planet of the Apes. The series of the five original Apes films were released between 1968 and 1973. Long a James Cameron project, the remake finally launched as Fox's summer tentpole film for 2001 with director Tim Burton at the helm. Wahlberg plays an astronaut who crash lands on a planet where human beings are enslaved by highly-evolved apes. Helen Bonham Carter, Tim Roth, and Michael Clarke Duncan are among the stars under ape make-up.
Options are short term investment opportunities based around a specific event. Typically options are released opening weekend of a particular MovieStock. This form of speculation takes the form of "calls" and "puts" and last only for opening weekend.
Put
A put option is the opposite of a call option. A put speculates that the related movie will have a lower box office take for its opening weekend than the strike price. A $20 put has a strike price of $20, and will cash out at zero if the movie makes more than $20 million or more during opening weekend. If the film makes less than $20 million it will cash out at a price determined by the following formula: (Strike Price - Actual Box Office). For Example if the film made $15 million the put would cash out at H$5.00 (H$20 - H$15).
