Too Much Sleep is a feature based on a folk tale called A Hunter's Promise. Writer-director David Maquiling becomes the first Filipino-American to have a film earn distribution in America. The story explores themes of self-discovery from personal disillusionment that one overcomes on the road to maturity. As such, the comedy-crime centers on a young man who encounters a beautiful woman while riding the bus. Complications arise when the woman steals his gun and the young man and a friend go in search of his possession. On his journey, he meets up with many interesting and rather strange people. The film stars Marc Palmieri, Nicol Zanzarella, and Pasquale Gaeta.
