Can a "Smokey and the Bandit" reboot feature Zoe Saldana and a Nissan Maxima?
Can that reboot sequel feature Ken Jeong instead of Signourney Weaver as Ridley?
Past a certain point, adding, subtracting, or completely altering attributes of characters just for the sake of these PC/fan-friendly responses on the open-mindedness of modern Hollywood's casting choices, which were in response to discrimination/prejudicial accusations in the first place...this is blatantly letting poor creative decisions be made for marketing and fan approval. I bet after the flop of "Fantastic Four (2015)," it won't be quite so buzzy to be this cavalier about specific characteristics.
Speaking of, I still condone it when there's artistic reason behind these decisions. Time has told us all before which of these are acceptable (blonde Bond Daniel Craig) and which are not (Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross is not equivalent to Matt Damon's Jason Bourne).
Like I said before, isn't it already in line with the pre-existing mythology of James Bond that he is bisexual, as an espionage operative's missions would occasionally require such?
