Description
Thomas and the Magic Railroad has its roots in public television, originally appearing as a PBS series titled Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends. In the film version of Thomas, Alec Baldwin will essay the role of Mr. Conductor, a role played previously by George Carlin and Ringo Starr. Mara Wilson and Peter Fonda also appear in the film, which follows a girl who leaves the city in order to visit her grandfather in the country. Thomas is written and directed by Britt Allcroft, who created the TV series in 1984.
