If you're a newer player, I would advise that you NOT
buy the Hobbit right now. Why? cause this movie is in limbo for the time being, and the price has been going UP and DOWN, and even at its current price, it's toooo much for a new player to buy. Also, this movie will NOT be coming out for perhaps a few YEARS, and it would NOT be a good stock to purchase for a smaller port.... you will tie up your money on a movie that is a long way out - and in the meantime you could make a LOT more money by playing other stocks, openers, IPO's, bonds, etc.
If that's your question, (is the Hobbit a good stock to buy) then I would say you got your answer ^^^ up there - for SMALLER ports anyway. If you have $200M sitting around, then you may want to buy Hobbit...if not... I'd hold off.
