Hey Guys,
Just dropping you a note about a game a bunch of us are playing called Fantasy Moguls. It's a fantasy football-style game in which you have a set amount of money to spend on a slate of movies in a league (each league lasts 3 months). Each film is valued a certain price, and you can choose up to 8 films to compete in various leagues.
Our little group is hoping to expand, and so I'm hoping you'll check out our forum (featuring plenty of movie reviews and arguments) and explore more of the game. The address is: http://forum.reelsociety.com
The game is divided into two types, Box Office and Ultimate. The former is pretty simple: the slate with the highest BO (US only) earned wins. The latter gives you points in four categories, box office, Top Five points (based on how long and what position a film remains in the Top 5), PTA (based on how long and what position a film's "per theatre average" remains in the Top 5), and IMDB score. The player with the most collated points wins.
This week, the weekend of Jan 3rd, we're starting up our yearly super leagues, where you compete for the entire year, with the bottom 10% in each league being kicked out. There are also half-year super leagues too.
We have an Italian site where we play the game: http://www.labexp.it/mmgmogul/index.php
However, if you're interested in play, just head to the forum or email the league moderator shrykespeare42 [at] gmail [dot] com for more.
Hope to see you there.
