in response to damenchipguy's post Fireworks?
are a staple but they generally just get the whole pack lit and a 5 dollar pack of firecrackers is gone in 20 seconds....does anyone remember thunderbombs? they were like black cats but their fuses were so fast you didnt dare hold one in your hand to throw it....when i was a kid i had many sore fingers from lighting individual thunderbombs. roman candles are a must....my parents would never allow roman candle fights (thank God) but they were always one of my favorites. then theres the tanks and the fountains...and who can forget the smell of those snake pellets...just simple pellets made of black powder that burned into a snakish shaped sort of ash...if you could get it lit. if your fortunate enough to live in missouri you can buy fireworks year round and you can still get pop bottle rockets there, a friend of mine whos a truck driver brought me 2 bricks of them a few years back....we had alot of fun with those lemme tell ya....and they got these neat things they call depth charges....the size of a black cat but you strike them like a match and their heavy and sink and blow up under water...we took alot of those out to a friends pond at night and had alot of fun with those to....i may claim to be a horror fanatic but my sister swears that im a pyromaniac....i love the 4th of july....only slightly less then i love halloween...

Yes to everything you just wrote. We are about three hours to MO and I have got bottle rockets. I am 39 and I still have roman candle fights

When I was a kid (70's!), we loved to blow things up with fireworks. Mom saved soup cans and we had contests to see how high we could make

But not fights - sorry it's idiotic and way too dangersous to hold those in your hand
