Although I'd say your heart is in the right place :-)

I am 1/16th German and like the country a bit, so I rooted for them, and I will continue to, but I kinda hope Brazil wins the whole thing. It's good for the country and it's the one time it's being arranged down there.. Germany is very far from home, so it would be almost a little strange for them to win the tournament down South America way. The Brazilian team has a lot of energy.

So Brazil will have to beat Germany in the next game. It might go into extra sessions. I hope so. Let's get some real action and drama! It's hard to beat Die Mannschaft in only 90 minutes, and their defence is far and away the best of the whole world cup.

The Netherlands will probably beat Costa Rica, but not Argentina.

So the final is likely to be a purely South American one, with neighbours Brazil and Argentina slugging it out in front of a hyper-charged stadium audience. It could be the fireworks finale of the decade. Germany vs Netherlands in the bronze finale for a purely European match there - also between two neighbouring countries..... (And Netherlands, or "Holland", did have colonies in Latin America, even in South America. The Germans never did, afaic, but quite a few emigrated to South America, Central America and perhaps even the Caribbean.)
