One big problem is that every movie has a different international release schedule
Some big movies are released day-and-date US and most of the rest of the world. Some are released in a few markets before North America (can't forget Canada!), some aren't released anywhere until after domestic release. Some are released in many markets before domestic. Interesting idea, but logistically it would be very, very difficult.
