How do Movie Funds work?

I read this http://www.hsxdude.com/7/post/2011/06/fund-week-summer-2011-how-funds-work.html but I'm still confused:

Does the daily value of a fund mirror the daily value of the funds port, or does it go up and down as people buy/sell/short/cover like other stocks (and only adjust to port value at delist)?
