Description

The Iraqi film The President's Cake centers on a 9-year-old who must gather ingredients for her class to bake a cake to celebrate Saddam Hussein's birthday or be punished. Written and directed by Hasan Hadi, the film won the Directors' Fortnight Audience Award at 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
