started a YTD port and got to somewhere around 560m in a year starting with 2m. I don't use any spread sheets or serious tracking. And now I am more of a part time player. But daytrading is a key. TIMING is the key. There are key times to be logged in so you can be on top of events that occur in the HSX calendar. Playing openers is a key. Watching for news is key. Playing deriviatives is a key. Playing reset is a key. Playing bonds is a key.
I start by playing profit percentage then when the port is about 100m or so, I look at $$$ profit. It is just a game but since I work at a movie theater, it keeps me informed on what is going on in my biz. I hit a lot of nice openers last year. I don't care as much now that my home port is above 2b and hitting an opener or missing isn't really crucial. About 1 billion a year is what I would expect to grow if I play 75% as hard as I did last year for the YTD. I don't feel like killing my personal time that much anymore. Once I get into the top 200, it will be real slow to climb as far as I have.
You can check out my YTD ZorgandBettyYTD2008 I think it was called. I gave it up after I won the YTD. I think it hasn't moved much this year but you can see from the start date on the port and the current %'s that it is possible.
