Did you ever see The Sting? It is eaier to bet correctly after the race has started. Opening weekend derivatives halt on the day of
release for that weekend (.OW, .CA, .PU) It used to be true for the wide release movies as well, but the halt has been moved to Saturday evening so there is a flurry of activity every Friday/Satruday to get the darned thing pointed in the correct direction. They stay halted until the adjust on Sunday (or holiday Mondays) when trading begins again.
Starbonds are halted just before the Monday (or Tuesday) delist to let the market make the adjusts. Once again, until actuals are known, we may not really know the correct adjust price of the StarBonds.
There are halts for other derivatives. TV Stocks when the show is cancelled; Nominoptions and Oscar Warrants halt a few hours before the names of the nominees or winners are announced.
