whether it will do the standard 22 - 25 weeks of new episodes. After all this show did replace 5 other primetime shows on NBC. If it's successful we might just be seeing the hearld of a new (old) variety type show taking over tv the way that reality tv took off after Survivor.
Just find it funny that something that might be revolutionary for primetime until the next revolutionary change comes doesn't get an IPO. And of course it might just tank, what Leno did at 11:30 might not sell in Primetime. People might just decide that dramas at 10:00 are more interesting. His toughtest nights will be Monday: CSI Miami. Castle, Wed: CSI NY, Eastwick Tuesday: 2 new shows The Fogotten and The Good Wife, Thurday: Mentalist and The Office, I should do best on Friday up against Numbers and 20/20 but there is a reason that Friday is considered a death night as people like to go out on Frday and not sit at home. So they may find their entertainment in other forms then Leno.
It isn't a slamdunk, but also it's cheaper the producing 5 hours of drama. I think it deserves an IPO as it's not only the biggest change to hit primetime but also the biggest risk if it doesn't pay off. there will be a five hour hole NBC will have to fill. If it doesn't payoff it will probably die the death of 5 cuts as NBC starts with sloting new programing on the weakest nights.
