This site was acquired by Cantor Fitzerald around 2000,
with the idea and a plan to develop and launch real money futures contracts to trade based on movie's success. That futures business was killed by Senate about 1.5 years ago. Apparently, big movie studios lobbied heavily against it. So, contract's site (which was already in Beta version) was shut down and this one is still around. Hopefully, movie studio heads will come around sometime in the future and allow for that business to move forward...
