I don't have a problem with the G8 but so many people do. 100,000 protesters expected. Stores will close and people will be cut off from neccesseties. Gas Prices to be exploited. With the city in such disrepair, and the recent influx of foreigners and Al queda into the city, it could really be the mess we've been expecting. No electric grid, fresh water or natural gas. Anyone in the area should begin hoarding now or make plans to be gone that week in May. I say hoard because the powers at be say not to and we need to protect our families and have a right to survive.
I do however have a problem with Chicago.
Recently, I found out that the kids exit the school bus directly into the street. I wouldn't have noticed if I didn't see a 3rd grader steal a 6 pack opf pop out of the beack seat of my car while delivering a pizza.
It's not the bus company at fault. At first I thought the ciuty was founded this way, but The city has an old security program to disrupt the flow of traffic and drugs around schools from the 90's and they changed the direction of many 1 way streets that front the schools. Using a map app, one ward in the city had 6 of 7 schools let the students out in the street. This might not sound like a big deal to some, but if you have kids, you should be concerned. Not only is the street dangerous, but the bus blocks the students from the main entrance and security can't see the kids until the cross in front of the bus to get to school.
So instead of fixing the street mapping, the Mayor is going to install speed cameras. Not speed zone cameras in school zones, but cameras to catch speeders on the one way streets that front the schools. It's already been approved by the Governor. Money was just earmarked for schools and 1/2 a billion will be spent to build a new college and to update existing city colleges. And of course the condition of the nest all one way streets are nonspeedable for the average person. They are in bad shape.
I will be out of town eventhough I would like to see the plume of smoke from my house. I will be camping.
Have a great day!
William
Ps. I thought this was going somewhere, but it's no longer on me and I ran out of energy once I emailed the Mayor.
