This morning, on radio, the two directors-students explained why they chose a "dumb" song in Engl. - of course, UQAM is French speaking:
1. They were sure a Fr. song would be less successful on youtube;
2. It had to be well-known so that the shooting don't fail because a student miss his/her part;
3. It had to be varied...
BTW, they look young for Universtity. In the US, they'll probably be collegians. The system, in Quebec (for most):
- 6 years of primary school;
- 5 years of secundary school;
- 2 years of "college";
- then you attend university (the comm dept. of UQAM): you graduate after 3 years.
