He's a bit excessive with the postings - it seems he's got a "FIRST!" mentality of quantity over quality. Some suggestions

Like RazorHawk's postings in the Stars Forums where he'll link to an article discussing a new Starbond's prospects or the Post Adjust Bond Show, maybe Roto could compile all of his "IPO IDEA" posts for the day into an article that he posts on his own site, and ONCE PER DAY make a post in the Movies Forum titled "IPO IDEAS for Sept 20th, 2012" and a link to his site inside.

That way, anyone who was interested in those (such as DMAC) could go to his site and review the daily count.

This would also solve ROTO's numbering system by creating a specific date he could look for in the forums, as well as any private numbering scheme he chooses to use on his own site for future reference.

This would clog up the Movies Forum much less, annoy fewer people, and still provide all of the same information without overlap and continually scrubbed posts.

Feedback?

I have missed a lot. Who is RotoHockey2012 and why do so many people dislike him? {nm} lobogotti Sep 20, 09:01

IDK, he posts alot and alot get scrubbed. His choice of words are a bit abrasive. I never read more than the QRs. {nm} damenchipguy Sep 20, 09:17

thanks {nm} lobogotti Sep 20, 10:40

Stating the specifics prolly isn't a good idea, you can backboard. Let's just say his style has rubbed some the wrong way {nm} islander Sep 20, 09:44

wouldn't know where to start! {nm} lobogotti Sep 20, 10:40

He's tone-deaf to ways of the community. He posts for his own self-serving sake, and not for the sake of interacting with the community. {nm} Antibody Sep 20, 10:16

I noticed a lot of that. Seemed weird though that he would continue on this way, as it seemed there were not many people lobogotti Sep 20, 10:42

He was cool for a long while, but it's like he all of a sudden flipped a switch to annoy people on purpose. {nm} Antibody Sep 20, 10:48

yeah, I didn't recall him as having been a target before. {nm} lobogotti Sep 20, 11:32

He established his niche with the IPO NEEDED posts, and he takes them very seriously, too seriously perhaps... slappydavid Sep 20, 10:49

I'll correct myself, It's actually IPO IDEA. {nm} slappydavid Sep 20, 10:50

early on, and I'm talking 2005 or earlier, I used to post IPO Needed posts. however, I got on another board with a lot of regulars and saw lobogotti Sep 20, 11:29

I like it indeed! but alas, I don't trade much at all and don't make it to read like I used to. so I don't get a vote! {nm} lobogotti Sep 20, 11:55

Needs to drop the whiny stuff like correcting people's typos {nm} islander Sep 20, 12:03

We Canadians are going through hockey withdrawal. Please bear with us. {nm} elchan Sep 20, 12:41

you and me both...but how about some alcohol instead?...lol {nm} tealfan Sep 20, 12:50

Not the same, unless it's the overpriced stuff you get at the game. {nm} elchan Sep 20, 13:16
