And what's this "some of them are more than likely rubbish" bit? Most of them ARE rubbish. The broadcast networks have for the most part lost the ability acquire decent shows, have lost their audience to a large extent and in their panic are way too trigger happy, both in greenlighting shows and in yanking them off the air.
