I'm 5 eps in and I'd give it a "pretty much thumbs up". I think the fact that I just binged on the brilliantly compelling Bloodline...
may have been a disservice to Daredevil as, when comparing Netflix stuff I'd take Bloodline every day and twice on Sunday.
However, it is nice to see some darker themes in a new Marvel property and the use of colors (like you mentioned, they've done some great suff with blood in a less gory but more stylistic way) and the welcome return of the amazing Vincent D'Onofrio are both things that will make me definitely continue with the series at least through this first season.
It's just that on the heels of Bloodline (and also a superb season 3 of House of Cards) I'm not getting that same feeling of looking forward to watching the next episode as soon as I wake up kind of thing. Perhaps because it's not meant to be that way or because it's clearly not trying to alienate the younger crowd so there aren't as many gambles.
Even so, better than most stuff on network TV.
