Avatar Profile Pic...Change? Tried changing it to a JPG to show my allegiance to GOT family & it wouldn't update?

I've been able to change avator/profile pic before but can't now? I'ts a jpg of smaller size that my previous pics...Does it take 24 hours to change once you've selected+changed your profile pic?
