Newbie Trading Problem
Ok I must be doing something absolutely stupid here... can someone help? I'm a newbie. Initially I had no problem buying stocks, when I found the movie I wanted I would enter the amount of shares I wanted on the right hand side and hit BUY, and it would take me to a screen basically saying great thanks, your portfolio will be updated soon. All good. However, now all of sudden, starting yesterday, when I find a movie I want and I enter the amount of shares I want and hit BUY, it takes me to another screen that says:
To trade the maximum number of shares possible, you can enter "max" into the quantity field and then we will figure out the most you can afford up to the allowable amount. If you do not enter a limit price, we will assume you mean to make the trade immediately.
It won't let me buy any stocks unless I type in MAX. Why won't it let me buy specific amounts of stock anymore?? I've tried it with multiple different movies, and I have plenty of money. It just will not let me specify the amount of stocks I want. If I type an amount in and hit enter, nothing happens, it takes me back to the same screen asking for me to type in MAX. I don't want to buy the max.
