Once upon a time, years ago
There was commission free Saturdays. These apparently were discontinued because some people were abusing the swings of the market. Creating false upswings and plunges to stocks and creating "unearned" profits.
On Fridays, the stocks that opened that weekend, halted at 6 o'clock. Now they halt on Staurday. The last 2 weeks Warcraft86 has posted Friday's box office before noon on Saturday. This allows a player to purchase a stock they don't have or reverse an incorrect purchase to the correct adjust price. Or just dump a stock before it adjusts adversely.
I find issue #2 to be a "legal" abuse.
I dropped out about 10 years ago and deleted my account.
Now I have returned and find I miss #1 because I would really like to cover and repurchase my shorts on Saturday to give me a little more $$$ to play with.
I can't understand the reason for #2.

Part of the purpose of moving the halt from Friday to Saturday was to bring more players to the site on Saturdays. Oct 25, 22:35
