as a "distriutor"

It was pointed out that Nefflix "never reports box office."   All the more reason to identify Netflix projects.

How many are holding IRISH long when zero box or minimal box makes a possibly great movie a horrible short and possibly no StarBond adjust.   LNDRM "opened" this week with zero box office reported.

"Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, won't be fooled again"  GW Bush

Everytime the Movies page lists a Netflix project being debuted is another shout to "SHORT" as the security will delist at zero.

However, if Netfilix is a "distributor" then an advanced search could bring up ALL Netflix projects so we could all quickly anallyze our positions.

In the past their was an issue of STC, STV or even worse, STTV.  I will never forget when I was a Noob and UPRIS was shown as a mini-series on NBC ! (THen it was delisted)  Who knew that could happen.

Now we have projectss that are STS and Netflix is currently the cullprit.  There could be other streaming services in our future.   It would be nice if there was an easy  way to filter.  I know that Amazon does release some into theaters and reports box office.

However, I believe that Netflix is now in need of identification. *gets off of soapbox*

PS DOLMN opens this weekend. "Oscar buzz for EMURP" report box office? Give him an Emmy? {nm} Buy BONDS 31 Oct 01, 07:10

or how about delisting the stocks as soon as netflix picks them up. then we wouldnt have to deal with them at all {nm} islndr Oct 01, 08:16

Much as I like the profits from shorting anything that gets announced as going to Netflix, Islndr's suggestion is probably the best. {nm} DTravel Oct 01, 19:13

No, movies that opens in limited release gets 12 weeks regardless of box office. {nm} Antibody Oct 03, 08:57

Are they getting theatrical releases at all? If so then Netflix is a distributor, if not then they are STV. {nm} DTravel Oct 03, 11:02

Yes, the ones with a release date. {nm} Antibody Oct 03, 14:54

actually some movies in ltd release are never listed at all ... see several recent (and current) releases from "FIP" {nm} project Oct 04, 14:41

Or perhaps because this is a new distributor which hasn't been releasing for long? {nm} project Oct 04, 14:41

correction: FIP has been releasing since 2012, although not in huge quantity. But their releases avg more than many of the ltd listings. {nm} project Oct 05, 14:46

you want Netflix to be listed as a distributor... even though they do not distribute (release movies into theaters) {nm} RazorHawk Oct 01, 08:29

There has to be some way to identify these movies. Its better than nothing {nm} Nobody Oct 01, 09:42

It's identified in the description or in a tagged Related Post. {nm} Antibody Oct 03, 08:58

To islndr and rh ....delisting immediattely may not be great because they MIGHT MIGHT report box. STC and STV stay active untill StarBondFund Oct 02, 05:19
