Since players are running the show...how about
Being able to set "up" a trade to buy or short a movie stock on IPO's that are coming out? Like a limit order. The difference would be we could not see 'how many' shares are purchased (or shorted) until the day of the IPO. If someone cannot be on HSX on Tuesday, they could "schedule" a trade to happen on that day.
This would not cause manipulation of any price...it would only reflect the interest when the IPO day came. I can't always be here for every IPO, and being able to "schedule" a moviestock buy (or short) until after it's active, we may lose profits by not being here (vacation, work, etc.).
Just a thought. I don't see 'how' it could be used for manipulation if I can only 'schedule' the trade to happen on that date, and not being able to see any info about how many shares were bought or shorted until the IPO is active.
