I reckon if you're not making money, you're playing it wrong. There's movement all over every stock all the time now, not just at reset, it doesn't look to me like 'reset trading' (who are these 'reset traders' anyway, trades are trades!) but just a result of the tiny increment of 1c. I don't know how the algorithms for price movement work, and my maths is notoriously fuzzy in general but surely it's going to be, like 14 times as many movements as when the increment was 14c?
Also, I used to do this 'buy cheap stocks low (with limit orders), and sell them when they went up a certain amount' thing that had very low $ gains, but high percentage gains (great when my port was brand new) ... I've abandoned them since the change because there is too much chuckage - you can't make money off very small margins any more. So I reckon there should be less people trying to profit off these small movements than there used to be.
