Divided We Fall is a Czech film nominated for Best Foreign Language at the 2001 Oscars. The provocative comedy-drama will have viewers analyzing themselves and their sense of loyalty. Set in a small town in the Czech Republic during World War II, the film introduces a couple named Marie and Josef Cizek who find out they must remain childless because of his infertility. A young man, who is the only surviving member of a Jewish family, seeks out the couple for refuge. Josef's friend Horst Prohazka is a Nazi collaborator who increasingly becomes a problem for the couple. Boleslav Polivka, Anna Siskova, Csongor Kassai and Jaroslav Dusek star in the film. Divided We Fall will be distributed by Sony Pictures.
