Everybody's Famous! is a Belgian film that is a 2001 Oscar nominee for the Best Foreign Language Oscar. The comedy stars Josse De Pauw, Eva van der Gucht, Werner de Smedt, Thekla Reuben, Victor Low, and Gert Portael. The story is in the vein of The King of Comedy. A father, obsessed with being a pop songwriter, recruits his overweight daughter to be the name at the top of the charts. However, she is unable to win any of the talent contests she participates in. In hopes of changing his luck, the father kidnaps Belgium most well-known pop star to bring more luck to his venture. Miramax Films picked up the feature at the 2001 Berlin Film Festival.
