Two brothers, played by real-life siblings Derick and Steve Martini, endure the comic trials and tribulations of romantic entanglements while living in Los Angeles. The title of the film derives its name from the monikers that their Native American grandmother gave them. Chris (Derick Martini) is called "Goat on Fire" for being tightly wound, while Tony (Steve Martini) was dubbed "Smiling Fish" for being carefree. Shot on a shoe-string budget, this Kevin Jordan film won rave reviews at the recent Toronto International Film Festival.
Smiling Fish and Goat on Fire was formerly titled Goat on Fire and Smiling Fish.
