Haiku Tunnel explores the question of choosing between temporary or permanent employment. For people who support themselves with temp job assignments, the decision can be life-changing and leads to the re-examination of one's commitment level. The comedy film follows a young man who is confronted with such a dilemma. He was working blissfully as a temp until the firm offers him a permanent position. The choice leaves the young man perplexed about his future status.
The film premiered at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival and has been acquired by Sony Pictures Classics for distribution.
