Documentary auteur Errol Morris brought Mr. Death: The Rise and Fall of Fred A. Leuchter Jr. to the Sundance Film Festival in 1999, and once again received critical acclaim for his work.
As indicated in its title, the film details the life of Fred Leuchter, an engineer whose expertise has brought design improvements to electric chairs, gas chambers and gallows.
