Director Roger Donaldson's Thirteen Days is an adapted screenplay by David Self. Donaldson previously collaborated with Kevin Costner on the political thriller No Way Out.
Thirteen Days relives the tense events of the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis during the height of the Cold War. Taking place over a two-week period in October, the film depicts how John F. Kennedy and members of the U.S. government dealt with the escalating turns of events. The gripping drama is told throught the eyes of Kevin Costner, who plays an aide to Bruce Greenwood's President Kennedy and Robert Culp's Robert Kennedy.
