Description

The French film Saint Omer is based on the 2016 court case of Fabienne Kabou. A pregnant novelist attends the trial of a Senegalese woman accused of murdering her 15-month-old by letting the child get swept away on the beach. Directed by Alice Diop, the film won the Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize at the 2022 Venice Festival.
